Jailer Tim Meador

                                                       


Tim Meador was appointed to complete the remaining term of Larry Piper who retired on January 31st 2021.

Tim is a native of Scottsville, KY and has lived here his entire life.  He has been very active in his community since 1993 in the following organizations:

  • Member of Allen County Rescue Squad (1993-1994)

  • Charter Member and current Assistant Chief of Cedar Springs #1 Fire Department (1995-Present)

  • EMT for Allen County Ambulance Service (1995-1996)

  • Safety/Training Officer/EMT for Scottsville Fire Department (1999-Present)

Tim is a 1990 graduate of Allen County-Scottsville High School and a 1995 graduate of Western Kentucky University.

Tim's background includes extensive experience in leadership roles and companies including:

  • Dollar General Corporation, receiving the "Serving Others" award twice for his service to the company and to the community of Allen County

  • Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems

  • ShopHQ

  • Bass Pro Shops

  • Former Board member for Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky, being awarded "Volunteer of the Year" in 2005.

"I love Allen County and enjoy serving my community in the various roles I have been blessed to do for my community.  I was blessed with two wonderful parents, Sonny and Elaine Meador.  I am married with two children.  I thoroughly enjoy being the Jailer for Allen County, and hope to continue in this role for years to come.  I have enjoyed meeting people in my various leadership roles.  I try to lear something from everyone I meet.  I have been blessed to work with great teams in each of my roles through the years.  I consider myself a servant leader."

Tim is also an ordained minister and current pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.  He enjoys sharing his experience and ministering to his congregation along with the inmate residents.

His hobbies include bass fishing and deer hunting along with spending time with his family.
